The Trillium Diwali Gala 2019 Funding Priority
Trillium Health Partners is proud to announce that all proceeds from our Trillium Diwali Gala—the first and largest Diwali celebration in Canada—will support research, programs, and advanced treatment technologies that enable our hospital to target chronic conditions.
Trillium Diwali Gala—A shining light for our community
Trillium Diwali Gala has been a shining light that has raised the profile of our hospital since the its inception 17 years ago. Our hospital recognizes with gratitude the central role our south Asian community plays in the overall betterment of our shared community.
Trillium Diwali Gala has raised over $9.5 million for our hospital over the past 17 years and has vitally renewed our Om Fracture Clinic, Endoscopy Suites, and enabled the expansion of our Cardiac Health department.
A unique community with increasingly complex health needs
Our community is complex—ethnically diverse, rapidly growing, and with large populations of vulnerable, high-use patients. Our community’s health conditions are complex, too. Sixty percent of our community live with one or more chronic illnesses, like heart disease and diabetes. Patients with chronic conditions require more frequent care from multiple caregivers.
Individualized care for our unique populations
Trillium Health Partners’ commitment to enhanced care for chronic conditions will have three primary impacts on community health:
- Better long-term health outcomes for the families of our community.
- Improved guidance which results in a heightened sense of control over personal health and wellness.
- A more cooperative system of care between our hospital and community care partners for improved management of conditions.
Shaping the health of our community—together
Our hospital is uniquely positioned to care for our diverse and rapidly growing population, so that our care and their health are continuously improved. With your support, our hospital can invest in innovative care for patients with chronic conditions, provide advanced treatment technologies close to home, and add new patient-care spaces designed to provide exceptional patient experiences to meet our unique community’s changing needs.
>> Please support our commitment to those with chronic conditions during this celebration of abundance and light so that everyone has an opportunity to live their best lives.
