Take a Pie in the Face for Mental Health 2019
Credit River Retirement by Verve Senior Living challenges you to Take a Pie in the Face for Mental Health by hosting your own pie-throwing fundraising event! The first 20 Pie Events will receive a sponsorship from Credit River Retirement to help get you started.
According to the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health, 1 in 5 Canadians will experience a mental illness, 70% of them during childhood and adolescence. Trillium Health Partners (THP) is proud to be the largest provider of mental health services in the region, offering a full breadth of mental health services that span every life stage – from specialized programs for our teens to vital services that benefit adults in our community.
By hosting your own Take a Pie in the Face for Mental Health event or by making a donation, you are helping to ensure that the Mental Health Program at THP continues to make it easier for patients to access mental health services close to home.
"The Credit River Retirement team know that taking a pie in the face generates smiles, belly laughs and screams of excitement for everyone involved. We also know that people experiencing depression, anxiety and stress in their lives could use a chance to smile and laugh more often. This is the reason why we started our Take a Pie in the Face for Mental Health fundraiser in support of Trillium Health Partners. We are committed to giving people something to smile about, and a chance to create great memories for a great cause together. We work with seniors every day who are depressed and lonely and families who are overwhelmed and burnt out. With this is mind, we are thrilled and excited about raising money in a very fun way! Who's ready to Pie it Forward with us?" - Jill Somerville, Senior Marketing Manager, Credit River Retirement
